any idea why when I used MIDIOX to update my Megadrum 2.7 kit after the process is done and I get the "update finished"
I still have the old firmware.

I have the buffer set to 4000
and use proper .syx files.

I plug the megadrum32 while holding left, then press down
start midiox
go to action / send sysex
select the megadrum644_20_32_20080702.syx

the display says "update finished" after about 10 secs

about midiox options,
now I have the buffers set as
40000
16
40000
16

and in the midi devices I highlight "1) Périphérique audio USB" in both input and output.

Is the bootloader of an old type without crystal speed selection or of a new type?
If of an old type - is it correct correct speed version?
Are the Fuse bits for Atmega set correctly (i.e. none of BootlockXX/LockX are set)?

sorry I think Synthex can answer that, I don't know enough

but on the atmega I can read
Atmega644
20PU
0709

what are the fuse bits?

It's bootloader for 20 MHz version.
You have 2 kits, isn't it ?
Same problem on both ?
