FIELD cymbals, will they work?

Postby stefan1982 » Sun Apr 26, 2015 2:02 pm

Is there anyone, who could tell me if the FIELD cymbals will work with the MegaDrum?

I found the wiring and compatibility charts here, but I need someone to verify if these cymbals will work with MD before buying a bunch of them. They are quite expensive, so I would *REALLY* like to know on beforehand if they will work, or not.

Perhaps someone could tell me if the connections with the MD are okay?

I personally don't see any reason for any of them not to work with MegaDrum. After all so far there are not too many types of drum triggers - its' either piezos or piezos with switches which are all supported by MegaDrum.

Hi,
I did not know this brand , if you buy a cymbal , let us know if it works with perfectly with Megadrum . I would be interested even if the prices are still high. I contacted them to find out more about the feeling and the noise which occur when we play them.
Thanks.

I'm sceptical about these. The youtube vids are very contrived and not really showing it 'in action' Looks like a piezo/switch and the price tag seems to reflect the quality of cymbal which, I don't quite see, and I qute from the site

Silent playing, no acoustic cymbal noise

It's not silent is it?

koby drums - Triggera krigg/Bix - megadrum - Kontakt........... Samples from all and sundry.

Îm waiting for an answer of them...

This is there answer: " Thanks for your interest in our products! Our cymbals are made of high quality hand hammered B-20 Bronze so yes it feels like you are hitting an acoustic cymbal and not like you are hitting rubber. Our patented SDTS trigger system dampens the cymbals so the typical sound produced by acoustic cymbals is no longer. You are left with a sound of a stick hitting the hard surface similar to hitting a wooden chair or something like that."
