Is there an up to date step-by-step tutorial on setting up a 2 zone cymbal (no bell separation, no choke), wired Yamaha style?

I have built a couple of DIY PMMA cymbals (22" ride (2 zone: bell/bow), 18"/17"/16"/15" crashes (all 2 zone: bell/bow) , and 14" hats (2 zone: bell/bow)), molded into form and stuck 2 piezo's underneath it.
1 piezo's at 1/4 of the edge and 1 piezo at 2/3 of the bell area underneath the cymbal.

But I do not grasp the way of how to configure it (i think).

I looked and tried to follow: http://www.megadrum.info/content/settin ... one-cymbal, but it doesn't seem to be up to date as there are quite some options mentioned which are not in my (latest) MDM.

But are the cymbals piezo/switch or piezo/piezo? If the latter, how did you wire it "yamaha-style"? Either way the "yamaha-style" setup guide is irrelevant - that's for 3-zone cymbals. From your description it sounds like they're piezo/piezo, so the setup is the same as with any dual zone pad.

So, if piezo/piezo, set the 'type' of the 2nd zone to 'piezo', put both zones into the same crosstalk group, and try to separate them with proper Highlevel, Gain, Threshold, Crosstalk and DualMidPoint settings. You'll need to put the bell piezo inside the bell area under the cymbal. I have managed to get pretty good zone separation with piezo/piezo cymbals but it takes a good deal of tweaking.

If piezo/switch, just set the head piezo up normally, set the 2nd zone to 'switch' and just follow the part of the 3-zone instructions you linked to that refer to the switch setup - find the threshold number where pressing the switch sends aftertouch messages, set the right note, and you should be sorted.
