- Pressroll Note
- Curve
- Compression
- LevelShift
- XTalk Level
- Gain
- MinScan
All of the above do exactly the same as for piezo inputs.
PosLevel,PosHigh,PosLowIt seems that these are not used for Switch inputs, at all. Am I right? If not, please tell me what they do on a switch input.
You're right, they don't and cannot do anything on switch inputs.
Furthermore, there are other settings which I know are used, but I'm not entirely sure how they work.
- How is HighLevel interpreted for a switch input? The switch obviously doesn't have a 'Level'. I know that for switch inputs the level is determined from the Piezo. But in this case it should have the same value as the HighLevel of the Piezo input, right? If not, why?
Wrong. Hitting the the switch (edge) zone on a dual(triple) zone pad/cymbal with the same force as hitting the piezo (bow) zone will produce different (usually lower) signal level from the piezo so on the switch input HighLevel must be set separately from HighLevel of the piezo input of the same dual zone piezo/switch pad/cymbal.
How do the retrigger suppression settings (Retrigger Mask,DynLevel,DynTime) work for a switch input?
Same as on a piezo input.
