trouble with Set All EdgeSw

Postby marcusHere » Mon Mar 13, 2017 10:13 am

I'm setting up a yamaha PCY135 as a ride.
I've already set up a roland CY-5 as a hi-hat ( but not the bell ) and a roland CY-8 as a crash.
When I follow the instructions here:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2501
it refers to also doing the instructions here:
http://www.megadrum.info/content/settin ... one-cymbal
When I do step 7, it kills my hi-hat and crash cymbals ( they send out 0 as the note values ).
When doing step sever I only strike the edge of my PCY135. Am I supposed to be striking the rolands too ? Is that the problem ? Or is it that I should config the yamaha first and then go back and redo the rolands ? ( sounds unlikely )
Up until step 7 I had the bow working but I was getting bell notes from the edge.
Thanks.

If you do it with 'Set All EdgeSw' then it will affect all dual/triple zone pads/cymbals with switches so you have to do it on all such pads/cymbals at the same time.
If you want to do it only on one cymbal you should not use 'Set All EdgeSw' but set up Thresholds manually on the switch zones of the cymbal.
