I can't seem to find the proper Atmega IC can I substitute with this ATMega32 40-Pin 16MHz 32kb 8-bit Microcontroller.
Or does it matter.

Is there a benefit to choosing one over another?

At present - no.
Last free are rated to run at 20MHz
Last two have twice more memory than first two.

I'm looking at the Futurlec website and I find this atmega IC
ATMEGA32-16PC ATMega32 40-Pin 16MHz 32kb 8-bit Micro-controller.
Is this the American equivalent?
Or which one from Futurlec can I purchase as a substitute?

Thanks :D

Thank you.

From Mouser.com the ATMEGA644-20PU at a mere $7.87, which from what I see is the most full featured of the offerings, is $0.41 less expensive than the less feature rich ATMEGA32-16PU. Always an education. :)

does these alternatives need any modifications on the hard or software in the documentation in the website?
