A question about 2 kick triggers wiring

Hey guys!

It's been a long time since I've purchased Megadrum from Dmitri [The Full kit + a positional sensing board], and now I've finally managed myself to start wiring input jacks.. But hey, better later, that never? :).

I got a question. I plan to use the module with a 2 kick pedals (2 different triggers). On the diagram in the instruction manual only one kick trigger is wired (jack J3, ring to pin 37) and tip on the same jack is just floating around. Can I connect the tip to pin 32, for example, as I illustrated on the image I've attached, so I can use whole J3 jack as a dedicated stereo jack for 2 kick triggers?
And, as far as I understand the concept - only fixed input pins are for hihat pedals and snare (J1 (pins 40 and 39), J2 (40 and 38), J4 (36 and 35) & J5 (34 and 33)) and any other pins can be configured to any desirable application (six 2 zone Toms at pins 31 thru 20, Cymbals after pin 19, etc)?

Regards,
Phil.

Of course you can do it. You can rewire all inputs to your liking. What is shown in the diagram is just an example wiring (how I do it in my modules) so you can rewire it as needed.

Great!
Thank you, Dmitri! 8-)

Hah, thanks! ;)
Yeah, I dream of a proper size kit with 2 kick drums (20 or 22"), 6 toms (10, 12, 13, 14, 16 and 18"), 14 inch snare and diy acrylic cymbals and good hardware :).
What already purchase are:
1) Cheap 14x5.5" Peace snare;
2) Tama hw30 snare stand;
3) Tama Iron cobra Hihat stand;
4) Tama Iron cobra twin bass pedals (yeah-yeah, I told 2 kick drums, but for now, for initial test stages it'll work, and anytime you can just buy another single iron cobra pedal and use them with two bass drums).
5) I've made 11 full sized 1/4 inch thick acrylic cymbals - 1x10, 2x15 - for hi-hats, 3x16, 4x18 and one 22" ride.
6) I've done all chassis work - installed all pcbs, knobs, display and all input jacks - I plan to wire them up this week - and that is - the module itself will be done.

PS. In future, I plan to use this kit as a gigging one - because the proper e-drum set is better than some club's acoustic kit which is mic'ed up by some guys who, actually, in most cases, don't give a rat's ass about your band.. :D

PS PS. I probably should start a new build log thread here :)

Cheers!
