Correct use of MD midi connections USB and DIN in/out?

I have some trouble with midi connections but I cannot find what my mistake is. I searched the forum first but cannot find an explanation, sorry if I overlooked it.

My goal is to use MD with triggers and also a midi keyboard to send midi notes merged from triggers and keyboard over USB to a PC with sample player.

This is the setup and what happens:
- MD with triggers (all channel 10) connected by USB to PC, MDMFX running and midi log shows midi notes from trigger hits;
- Midi keyboard (fixed channel 1) connected to MD DIN midi IN, midi log shows midi notes from keyboard hits;
- But when playing both triggers and keyboard at the same time, the keyboard hits show up in midi log but the trigger hits only show up when the keyboard is not hit. The missing hits in midi log are also not shown in the MD screen (trigger input number).

Obviously I do something wrong or what I try to achieve is not possible, please advice.

Please define "the same time" in this context. Are you hitting a key and a pad within 1, 10, 100, 1000ms?
And also take a screenshot of the Raw MIDI Log when you hit a key and a pad "at the same time".

Thanks for your support.

I created the midi logs and post them now, I see your second post just now so will try the firmware update as well.

By 'same time' is not meant at the same moment, more like 150 ms.

For below midi logs I played sixteenth notes alternating keyboard 61 and trigger 26. First just below the tempo where trigger hits disappear and then increasing tempo untill all trigger hits disappear and keep that tempo, maybe at approx 100 bpm. Note 26 appearing after many notes 61 is my sloppy finger hitting.

Hope this gives you a better understanding what is going on, meantime I will try the new firmware.

Sure, I will do that tonight.

Firmware update through MDMFX does not work, I have to use the utility (viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3218&start=80#p32524).
Any suggestions how to solve this?

I upgraded with v20170827.bin and the midi merge still works fine.

I noticed that after update the MD display shows v20170825. Also the MD slot was still loaded with settings (which is good), normally all slots are empty after a firmware upgrade.

It should show 20170827. Are sure you chose a 20170827 file when upgrading?

Yes, and I did that twice.

Since you are sure that the 20170827.bin should show this same version in MD, I will do it once more starting with a fresh download. Only option for mistake can be mixup of .bin file name.

Please note that upgrading firmware with MDMFX does not work, I will post screenshots to show what happens.
