best working Bassdrum trigger with MegaDrum

Hi,
I'm about to buy a MegaDrum.
For my Bassdrum I´d like an external trigger and I don't know which one to choose. I'm mostly thinking about the Roland RT-30K und the Yamaha DT50K, as they both get mostly good reviews.
With what Trigger have you managed to get great results?

(I´ll be using a 2-ply meshhead on an 18" Bassdrum)

These are a bit pricey but are solid. TBH I haven't used this version (being an early convert) but they do make good stuff.

Honesty I can't imagine how this beater-trigger will not make problems with the cable. As it is moving with the beater it could always end up between the head and the beater, somewhere on the pedal or my foot. And wouldn't it get quite a heavy beater with the cable attached to it?
