Refurbing this Alesis dm6
The hi hat is mono so fine.
The pedal seems to offer a variable resistance of 147 open and 0.1 closed.
It's mono so which pins do I wire this to?

Thanks

I'd assume you'd wire it to tip and sleeve.

Cheers mate, so do I need pin 40 (pedal power)?
And either low or high impedance?

If it's a mono jack I don't see how you can power it. I'd say it's low impedance if it just goes up to 147 ohms.

I'm not sure if the module requires there to be a voltage applied though, or if can just work with a varying resistance.

Well the module is now going to be MD so however they wired it will remain a mystery. I'm planning on running this in a DAW so do you think this could be adapted to change the value of CC4 for example.

If MD can register the changes in pedal position then there's nothing stopping it from sending CC data.
