Hey guys I'm starting on my programming cables.
What exactly do I need and how to do it?
Oh and another question I've done my 2.5 version megadrum, but I'm a little confused on the usb.
Do I also need to build the digital board to to connect to my laptop?
I doing a megadrum pad setup now so no need for jacks - second project but I'll order a kit instead.
So what components do I need now?
Thanks in advanced :D

The v2.5 (as the v2.7 and v2.8), don't need another PCB.
It's a All In One PCB. ;)

What components are you talking about?

Ah nevermind, digging around in my junk box I found all the parts I needed.
Do I need to build both cables or either or will do? :D

Do you need to program Atmega? Than you need an ISP cable.
Do you need to program PIC18F2550? Than you need an ICSP cable.
RTFM. It's all described in the Documentation section of the website. In particularly about programming MCUs see http://www.megadrum.info/content/programming-mcus

No need to create a new topic.
This is my ISP cable:

The ICSP cable is a similar thing.

Sorry
What about the 10 and 220 ohm resistors are they necessary?
I going by the cable diagram.

Don't know what 10 Ohm resistors you're talking about, but 220 Ohm resistors are there only to complicate the schematic slightly, otherwise it is just too simple.
;)
