Postby ayd01 » Wed Mar 04, 2009 7:49 am

Hi, I search the forum but couldnt see a related question thats why I m asking this stupid question; I m a electronix newbei by the way
I m soldering the synthex 2.8 allinone pcb. I m confused about the 100uf capacitor. I have learned that longer pin is always anode and the negative pole has a stripe but
on the pcb there is 3 holes in the area which is named 100uf. Pozitive named and the next to is square hole and the other is circle will I have to solder it to square holes
Regards

You need to solder the capacitor between the round pad (negative) and one square pad (positive).

There are 2 square pads and 1 round pad for this capacitor.
This is to mount capacitors of different size, lead space 2.54mm or 5.08mm.

To make it clear pozitive to the first or second square hole and the negative is to circle hole.

The positive is the first and the second square hole.
The negative is only the circle hole.
