IDC cable question

Hi Everybody,

I m finishing my MD nowadays. (Fingers crossed) I m totally a newbe also best example for a newbe. I havent hold a solder before this week. This question maybe dumbest thing you ever heard but here is it:

I have Synthex 2.8 allinone kit soldered everything but I got a 16 tail IDC cable (for connecting the lcd and pcb) and ofcourse a socket for it i guess you stuck the cable within the socket and cuff like thing and press it. Is there a special tool for this or may I do it with my hands or another thing. Or is there a easyway to do it.

There is no special tool for this, you can do it with your hands.
