Question to Synthex regarding mounting the LCD

The mounting holes on your lcd are smaller than the screws that came with my metal hex style standoffs, and I notice that both mounting holes one one side appear to have a copper ring which leads me to believe that they are to make contact with the screw. I was going to simply drill the mounting hole a little bigger, but I wanted to check with you regarding those 2 mounting holes with the copper rings. Is it ok for me to just make the hole larger? or should I search for smaller standoffs? I haven't seen standoffs in different size screws, just different lenghts. Do LCD's require a different type of standoff?

Thanks,
Leo

It is not recommended to enlarge the holes because they are Plated Through holes.
It is possible to solder directly on the LCD son.

This response is a bit confusing. You do realize I'm referring to the 4 mounting holes, to mount the panel to the enclosure right?
