Alchemegadrum!

Postby alchemicus » Sun May 10, 2009 9:05 pm

I will try to post my work in progress build of megadrum, brain and pads too.
I'm still workin to complete all cable and wiring, and after i will test the software too.
My megadrum is build with the synthex kit 2.8 and the precious help of Dmitri, with his BIG patience!

I bought the box in a simple electronic-store about 30 €, with stereo jack connectors, microphone cable, piezos and a lot of stuff.
The original kit was a "drummond dd602" bought as BROKEN :D (about 200 € ) in a musicalstore.. i just modded the pad with the mesh head watching this nice tutorial ( http://www.freewebs.com/nuskooltone/ )

added the second piezos for the rim

(the internal connector was stereo jack)

and add on two cymbals the choke strings

I have a Roland cy5 as hihat and FD8 as pedal, yamaha pcy15 as Ride (3 ZONES!) and a DIY snare with crossbar (old video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CihZXUc77g )

there is something wrong....
after the last update firmware, my megadrum menu seems to be slower than normal.
and in midiox after hitting anypad start to read a lot of midi signals (but in cubase not registered)
this messages go on until i stop them.
Playng superior 2 in cubase doesn't see this note on

Did you update using a correct firmware file?

Looks like what I'd get when setting a MIDI loop with MIDI-OX routing. Your first trigger results in a non-stop repetition for all eternity-y-y-y-y-y-y-y-y-y-y-y. :)

well i think yes (synthex kit = megadrum32_16_32_20090528 )
If i start megadrum with left key pressed, the menu returns to be fast as before.
But after i load my settings saved on slot 1, again slow.
I think there is something wrong in midiox too, because cubase don't see any loop of midi notes.

Don't load settings saved with previous version. Unpredicted things may happen.
