Hi, i have build my own megadrum32 from scratch. I made the pcb and everything seems to be correctly conected, but the latency is very high when start the megadrum module. When there is innactivity the hardware last more than 10 seconds to exits from menu to vumeter view. Also there is no messages in midi-ox software, the pc recognize there is a usb device called Megadrum USB, but there is no midi message when i hit a piezo(the lcd shows there is a hit on a piezo but the lcd show it very slow). I am using a 10uh indutor and i use ceramic capacitors instead of electrolitic ones. Why there is many capacitors conected to VCC and GND? I guess they work as filters but why so many? all the capacitors should be electrolitic?. I am using atmega644 with 20mhz crystal but the lcd latency is very high, when i hit a piezo the lcd changes very slow. Why?
i tested everything and i suppose it could be the inductor, the capacitors, or maybe the 20mhz crystal is damage. What could be dimitri?
Thank You.

Latency in electronic music means something else, you could have confused people.
If you loaded MegaDrum firmware via a bootloader then your problem is that you loaded a wrong firmware file. If you programmed MegaDrum firmware directly via an ISP cable you may have also programmed Atmega fuses incorrectly.

I did the same thing you did and having the same problem as yours. So how did you solve the problem? My MD also is running slow. When I hit the pad the VU meter raises slowly and then comes down slowly but no MIDI note is registered in MIDI-OX!

You have not programmed fuses correctly as I already suggested to you in another topic.
