Hi,

What is the minimum setup required to just test to make sure the MD turns on. I put everything together on the board from kit v3.1 and attached the LCD. I plugged it into the USB and got nothing. I am completely new to all this stuff so your input and patience is greatly appreciated.

Do i need to have a jumper on the power selection?
Do i need to have the buttons installed?

How can I test?

You must definitely provide power to the board so with Synthes's kit you must select either USB or external power.
