MD sending C#3(49) (stock crashB) all the time... ???

why does my MD all of a sudden send out that midi note?
it's jut a constant stream of c#3's going out.

i've tried unplugging all the 32 inputs. and it still keeps sending that note.
i've tried updating the FW - still the same.

any idea?
and why just that note?
i hadn't even hooked that cable (cable 13 from the input list) up to anything yet.

help please?

oh and there are no shorts between the input cables/pins and the IC's.

hmmm
i just took out the first 2 IC's and switched them around.

the second one (controlling inputs 9-16 - correct if wrong) was kind of warm. warmer than the others.

after switching them around, it's backto my normal working MD...

actually it's not back to working.
well the IC (second one) is fried for some reason.

i know because after swapping the 2 IC's the HiHat controller wasn't working anymore - constantly peaking at 127 and sending out midi.

i guess i can just go out and by a new one, right?
