Price/time/functionality wise I don't think it is worth the effort if you compare it with:

http://www.thomann.de/gb/behringer_bcf_2000.htm
and others.

I don't know about that, but 12 years of playing with different equipment have taught me to avoid Behringer as hard as I can! :D :D :D

i can see your point about the behringer stuff.
they would work perfect in the scenario. no doubt.
behringer is good in the way that IF it breaks...you can ALWAYS get new sutff.

i am just hoping to buy the MD and support this great idea (that being the MegaDrum), and designing the case/layout myself.

but i see your point.

Yeah, I was hoping for that too! (You sound like it'not even near) So I bought one, but still have to asemble it!
Just that blindboyrecording up there spoke the idea that I had for some time and I got litle carried away. But I see now there are projects like that already. Beeing a drumer I just hope it works fine for me, as for guitarists, hmm, they are in their own world anyway!

Still, my opinion about the Behringer gear remains!

I wonder if you could make a piezo pickup for your guitar with a piezo for each string that would go to the MD inputs. You would need three inputs for this if you use a six-string guitar.
