Request: a feature request only thread!

Postby elrules » Mon Jul 21, 2008 7:29 am

I have been thinking it could be great if dmitri could create a sticky thread where everyone who wants to propose a new feature or improvement can post it. Then dmitri can update the first post to let everybody know the progress on them. The thread will be something like this (I will use for the example the features I proposed the other days):

USERS FEATURE REQUESTS

Not yet implemented

- Positional sensing on snare input.
- 3 different midi notes for the snare (hit, sidestick, rimshot)
- Trizone (yamaha style) cymbal inputs

In progress (being implemented)

- ...

Already implemented (to be tested by users)

- Change drummap quickly from VU meter screen by pressing Up or Down with pedal pressed.

Rejected

- ...

(This is an example, I don't know what dmitri has in mind for all the features that has been proposed in this forum. It would be great to have such a thread to know dmitri's plans on future changes)

Thanks for reading;)

How about a standard trigger desing for MD?

I'm not a programmer but I guess it would be more easy to program.
No more trouble with supporting Roland, Yamaha and other brands. Just go 100% MD and DIY!

MegaDrum and a DIY e-kit.

I think megadrum is powerful because it can support a wide variety of triggers thanks to all its tweakable parameters. Piezos are piezos. I don't think you can build a MD specific trigger. They are all quite similar. Only need some little tweaking on MD to make them work like a charm
