HH False trigger on kick and cymbals

Postby krickgpe » Sun May 04, 2014 6:03 pm

HI,
I use AD not as stand alone but as a plugin in Energy XT 2.6 with my Megadrum 56i. The probleme that I have is :
when I hit the kick or two of my cymbals (ride and crash) get sometimes HH trigger at the same time.
I verified is the midi notes are different and they are...Can you tell me in what direction I have to go to try to resolve this probleme.
Thank you all for help.

Have you discounted crosstalk?
Does the hi hat sound every time you hit either cymbal?
Which hi hat sound can you hear?

koby drums - Triggera krigg/Bix - megadrum - Kontakt........... Samples from all and sundry.

-Can you remind me where I can discounted crosstalk
-The hihat not sound every time but frequently when hit the kick or the cymbals
-If the hihat is closed I can hear "closed hh" sound and "open hh" sound if it's in open position.

1. You may have Threshold set too low on the HiHat.
2. You may need to raise Xtalk on those pads/cymbals and also put all of them in the same XtalkGrp.
3. You may need to better mechanically isolate the HiHat cymbal from other pads/cymbals.

All of the symptoms there, point to crosstalk.
Is the hi hat isolated or fixed to the rack?

edit
As above what Dmitri sais
