Sticky!

Here are my settings for triggering the acoustic drums, I muffled the drums a lot and sometimes it triggers very low after the first response. For that I just set battery so it won't trigger samples lower to a certain point. The megadrum is set to convert the midi data with all the dynamics and in battery the samples are triggered at a fixed volume.

The tom settings are similar to the snare

Hi Ramsh.

I have been playing around with a snare, Rolands RT-10S trigger and MegaDRUM...I am using Addictive Drums as drumsound host.

I was looking on your settings - The highlevel value seems to be extremly high. Even if you hit the drum with full power...It wouldn't even generate a half amplitude of a midi-trigger signal in to Addictive Drum. (I am guessing that you compensate this in Battery)
So I changed the value to about 300 and also changed the curve to log3, to make it work better. (Retrigger down to 8, Threshold to about 30. Now, I am getting a better feeling...

However...I would like to investegate this more...What kind of drumsheads was you using? I am using Drum-Tec Pro MeshHeads...on a sonor 2007 snare.

Best Regards

Anders

Sorry - I must have been drunk in my last post...when checking the settings again...the Auto HighLevel was enabled...which makes the highlevel to go bananas. (Makes sence...)
However - I made some adjustments to the settings for my Roland RT-10S triggers.
It looks like this now. The Curve and the Retrigger is changed compared to Ramsh settings.

hi,

think your drum sounds not as good as the potential of the megadrum is. maybe you set the falsetrigger supression a bit too high. on my diy kit i have set this to retrigger 1 dynlvl 0 and dyntime 8. with this i have no falsetriggering and the whole kit sounds amazing. the treshold is on all my pads 40 and the pads are really sensitive... but listen and look for yourself ;)

Here I stand in the falling rain
There is no joy inside these tears
I see the world through a twisted and bitter stare
To be where I have been... to see what I have seen
Is it a dream?
Or can I believe...
The memories will haunt me for evermore
