Great software as a first time user dmitri, but I do have some kind of problem when using MDM.

After opening MDM and opening midi, the firmware ver is shown correctly (20111127). When I get and send the LCD contrast it works and the LCD is updated on the fly.

However, getting and setting Misc settings does not work. I have changed them using rotary encoders to different-than-default values, and a 'get' does not update MDM accordingly. Changing the values to default ones in MDM and sending it to the module does also not update the module.

Is there any way to find what the cause might be? Or am I missing something here :)

You have to load the latest firmware version in MegaDrum to be compatible with the latest MDM version.

Some people asked me to post the latest version of the source code. So I did in the first post.

hi,
i'm having trouble to make Megadrum Manager working stable on OSX Lion with a brand New Macbook Pro... I still cannot understand why most of the time the unit can't connect to the software.
(On the same computer with a windows XP in virtualbox, it is all working ok.)

I have installed mmj as suggested, with the two files under /Library/Java/Extensions

When MM is launched i can see the megadrum unit is receiving the sysex because the LED flashes, but the unit is not responding, and the firmware is not displayed on the software.

Anyone with some advice ? bad mmj installation ?

I did not have autolevels on, but suddenly while I was doing some hhat pedal set up, my pedal values changed, and CC was suddenly on 9. Could not close MDM either. Had to use Task Manager to force the shut down. Opened it up againand it wouldn't react to any click commands...couldn't open any drop down menus, it wouldn't retrieve any data from the MD, etc. Task manager force shut down again. Opened again, and could get into Options to tell it to use USB Audio Device for MIDI In/Out, but it still wouldn't load from MD. Force shut down again. I guess I can restart the computer and see if it's some little hiccup...just surprised because it had been quite stable prior to this.

Hi,
is this problem solved for Windows7 32Bit? I have the latest Firmware and Megadrum Manager, but after a while the communication stops.
I get the same problem with the iPad App and a virtual Network Midi Driver (rtpMIDI).

Update:
I found this thread viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1861&start=50. It could be an technical problem.

I don't have this problem and cannot reproduce it so I cannot fix it. I tested with Windows7 64bit and Mac OS X Lion.

I get the same problem with the iPad App and a virtual Network Midi Driver (rtpMIDI).

It has nothing to do with MDM so post the problem description in http://www.megadrum.info/forums/viewtop ... f=4&t=1940

You must not mix Mandolane and mmj. On Mac OS Lion and newer you should use mmj only. See http://www.megadrum.info/forums/viewtop ... 047#p18047
