Programming both MCU's on Linux (Ubuntu) machine?

Postby maximus300 » Sun Dec 06, 2009 11:28 am

Hallo there,

I've noticed that there is a Linux version of PonyProg2000.

But what alternatives are there for the WinPic programming software, to run under Linux?

And have any of you used Linux succesfully to program your Atmega and PIC18F MCU's?

The problem is, the only computer I have access to that has DB25 LPT Port and a DB9 COM Port runs Ubuntu. And installing windowz on it just to program 2 MCU's, is completely out of the question...hehe

Thank you for any help!

You can use avrdude to flash ATMega under Linux. I am unaware of any PIC flashing software for the platform though.
