how to use both MD midi ports at the same time

I am trying to use both MDM and Superior Drummer at the same time to setup my MD.

Unfortunately it doesn't do this: only the application that I run first receives midi messages.

I read on the forum that there should be two midi ports but in the MDM options I only have one "Megadrum USB MIDI" input and a "Megadrum USB MIDI" output.

In Superior Drummer I also select "Megadrum USB MIDI" as input.

I expected a "Megadrum USB MIDI 1" and a "Megadrum USB MIDI 2": is this right?

Thanks

You should be able to see both ports in both applications. MDM/SD (Which OS are you using, Firmware on your MDM?)

I am running MDM against midi port 1 (Use the checkbox to mark that the midi port should be used as the same port for both input/output in MDM)

Then I am mapping Addictive Drums to MegaDrum Midi port 2 for input.

Best Regards

Anders

You have to have USB MIDI firmware in your PIC with support for two MIDI devices. See http://www.megadrum.info/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=702

Ah that explains it: I have a Synthex 3.1 with a 18F14K50 USB PIC. I bet it's firmware doesn't support two devices.
My MD firmware version is 20121108 and I am running Windows 7x64.

I'll see about updating: I don't have the proper facilities to program one at the moment.
Thanks a lot
