I think the best way to get help is to describe a problem you have in details here in the forum.

Hey dmitri!
I Will discripe to the Best of my ability.

I have build my own edrums sorta like the drumtecs - http://www.musikmachen.de/var/musikmach ... teaser.jpg

But with rolands piezo wiring.

http://www.edrum.info/forum/index.php?topic=533.0

In MDM i simply cannot get both the head and rim to play seperately!
My closest try was channel 38 launch between 1-60 velocity and channel 37 between 60-127 velocity.
Whatever i do it seems like i cannot seperate the rim from the center.

Ive read all through the forum.

Btw, my pads are very cold, but i can achieve around 800 HIGHLEVEL and 127 velocity with 7 gain and about 25-30 thresshold.

Thank you.

Regards Louis

Hi!

Make backup of your MD using MegaDrum Manager...which will save it into a MDS file. Zip the file and upload it to this post. Then we easily could help you out with this small problem.

Best regards

It looks like the pad is not configured as Dual. Anyway, just do what Angr77 suggested or post a screenshot of the settings for the pad.

I'm guessing the problem is with the "4 SnareH/5 SnareR" pad.
A few issues I see in it.

1. You have not disabled 'HighLevel Auto' on either head or rim input.
2. HighLevel on the rim input is at the default 64. It doesn't look right. Did you try to find proper HighLevel on the rim input using 'HighLevel Auto'?
3. On a Dual piezo/piezo pad MinScan on both head and rim should have close values. If the head requires MinScan of 60 then the Minscan on the rim should have a value close to it or equal.
4. After the above is corrected you must adjust MidPoint for best separation between head and rim. It definitely should not be at the extreme left as in your config.
5. If you also want 'rim shot' triggering (head and rim hit simultaneously) , you need to set a proper note for it in '3rd Zone' (Note/Alt Note/Pressroll Note) and adjust 'MidPoint Width'

2. I tried that now, and can only get channel 37 to play, like every 5 stroke on the rim. all other hits on the rim fires off channel 38. pretty random. - and that is only if i put on VERY lov thresshold. Like 20 or below. Othervise i cannot get anything from the rim input.
3. I fiddled with minscan, which didnt make much of a difference.
4. midrange seperation doesnt do anything for me rigth now.

You must adjust MidPoint after that otherwise you will get only head or only rim triggering.

1. Describe how you come up with HighLevel for both head and rim.
2. Post a screenshot of your current settings.
3. Post a screenshot of MIDI Log when you hit head.
4. Post a screenshot of MIDI Log when you hit rim.

OK -
Starting from point zero.
I set Highlevel auto on for Head. Hit the drum MAX a couple of times. The highlevel changes.
I set Highlevel off for head, and highlevel on for RIM. Now i hit the rim hard a dusin of times. Yet the head (ch 38) is registred.
