Superior Drummer 2 & Yamaha 3 zones

Postby AndyB » Sun Jun 12, 2016 10:37 pm

Hi Everyone. So with some help I managed to get Megadrum configured. I was struggling taking folks suggestions. Then I was told to let Superior 2 handle the midi. So I thoughtI'd give that a go. But I am having some issues. When I load up a saved scene I get an "UNMATCHED KEY" Flashing under Loaded samples. when I went to configure Tom 2 as soon as I clicked learn it triggered constantly until I shut off Superior. The Hihats RHH135 were giving me an issue so I tried this https://powerhell.wordpress.com/about/z ... d-library/ Yamaha RHH135 cymbal & Pedal file. I uploaded it but not sure if when I load it I should push get all then send all. Then how do I save it to my current configuration. Next i am confused about the midi, Ive searched and read here how people have setup various toms & cymbals..does every item need a specific midi note number for example Ive seen tom 2 as 59 B1...but it's different in Superior...should try to match the notes of what Superior is. Also, can Superior handle all the settings like sensitivity and so on. Is there a way to just let Superior do that or does Megadrum have to?

You'de have to check the manual about that Andy.

Constant triggering is usually the threshold being to low.

'Get all/get' settings move from MD to MDM
'Send all/send' settings move from MDM to MD

Two ways, Load all/save all will save to your HD. The load from slot/save to slot will save to MD memory. This is the one I would advise you to use and it should then load these settings when you power up MD

Obviously the note sent by MD needs to match the recieving note in SD so it doesn't really matter where you change the note. I would say change the notes in MD so that you have a common mapping for SD and can change kits.
Sensitivity will cover a number of settings in MD and SD. Set your thresholds an high levels in MD and see how it feels.

koby drums - Triggera krigg/Bix - megadrum - Kontakt........... Samples from all and sundry.
