Megadrum 56 with Superior Drummer 3 Question

Postby Spartacus » Sun Sep 11, 2022 2:00 pm

For anyone using this combo, can they confirm SD3 recognizes all 56 channels and allows a custom kit with any and all sounds from their SDX library to be assigned to any pad? The video reviews I've seen of SD3 seem to suggest otherwise, so looking for clarity.

I'm interested in using SD3's orchestral percussion SDX in conjunction with MD56 for LIVE performances, so any input or advice you have would be appreciated as I have no experience with either product. I see no other module available with anywhere near Megadrummer's input/output channels though, so I'm hoping this combo is a workable solution for my multiple pad needs.

You can assign any MIDI Note number to any input so regardless of how SD3 restricts Note number mapping.
So, if this restriction exists in SD3, you can overcome it with MegaDrum inputs configuration.
