MCT as chain...

Postby krn » Mon Apr 27, 2009 6:05 pm

I didn't build megadrum hardware (yet) but I instaled MCT and I tryed to run it this way. I run output from MIDIOX ->MCT->other MIDIOX (or simply midi out such as "Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth") but it won't send midi notes through MCT. MCT midi-in is ok, it detect notes, CC and it sends SysEx, but it doesn't won't to send midi notes. I double (and triple) checked all software midi-in and midi-out setting but nothing is hapening. And, yes I use MidiYoke.
Is the problem in sending midi becouse of a missing megadrum hardware? Well it should not, at least for testing purposes.
Thanx nex

First of all, why would you want to route it through MCT?

And, second, MCT doesn't do anything MegaDrum specific when dealing with MIDI Notes/CC messages so it should work with any MIDI device in this respect. If it doesn't, then you didn't configure MIDI routing properly in MIDI-OX or in MCT or in both.

I understand it all, I just thought it would be nice to do some testing before building hardware. I'm using java 1.6.0 and I will try some more settings just for fun (both java and midi-ox mct connections). I'll come back with results
Thanks
