Updating Firmware More Noobie Questions

1. Do I need to manually program the fuses? I am using Atmega644 20mhz. Or is it possible just to download the .syx file?

2. I am having a lot of trouble figuring out how to program the fuses. http://www.megadrum.info/content/programming-mcus I downloaded PonyProg and am lost lol...is there an easier way?

3. Is there just an up to date firmware ready for pushing via midi-ox for Atmega644 20mhz?

Sorry but I am having a tough time trying to figure everything out.

You don't need to mess with fuses, PonyProg or anything like this. You already have a bootloader programmed.
Just follow http://www.megadrum.info/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=622 starting with "1. Power MegaDrum up while holding the key LEFT pressed..."

3. Is there just an up to date firmware ready for pushing via midi-ox for Atmega644 20mhz?
