Panic button/note-off

Hey, i've been thinking about things i may need to do to make gigging with the megadrum more user friendly.

I don't know how common stuck midi notes are but it would really suck if in the middle of a gig i've got some random noise going off.

So i was wondering does anyone know if there are any product out there that i can wire in parallel with the megadrums midi out that is basicly just a note-off panic button?

I haven't heard anybody complaining about stuck notes but I may add 'Panic button/note-off' functionality if it is really needed.

that would be cool, but would that be in the next design or a firmware thing?

It would also be usefull for doing cymbal chokes.

I thought about this and I have doubts. By nature, drum sounds are length limited so even if a sound sampler
misses a note off, it won't cause any drum sound to keep ringing, contrary to what may happen with, for example, piano sounds.
Cymbals are not choked by a note off. Chokes are usually handled using MIDI Aftertouch messages and MegaDrum does it exactly like this.

While this is incredible low tech, couldn't you simply pull the USB/MIDI cable if something was totally going bonkers? I know it's not classy or "professional" but if you gotta kill some crazy sound that is a result of MD sending notes improperly then this would work.

Of course, if the sampler is the one going crazy, that won't work at all and I'm not certain MD sending the sampler any MIDI would solve that either.
