Daisy Chain MegaDrum and Alesis Trigger IO?

Postby rockdude » Sat Apr 10, 2010 2:00 pm

Is it possible to daisy chain MegaDrum and Alesis Trigger IO? I have both of them and want to use them together. Btw, what's the benefit of daisy chaining two modules? Are there no other ways of using two modules connected to a computer at the same time?

MegaDrum sends to MIDI Out everything it receives on MIDI In.

The benefit in the case of another I/O is just more inputs and therefore more pads. Now if you use a drum module (like I have an Alesis DM5), not only do you get more inputs, but you can use the sounds from the module as well. No computer needed. That is how mine is set up.

Thanks for your answers. So I simply plug Alesis Trigger IO Midi Out to MegaDrums Midi In and that's it. Pretty simple. I like it! :D
