MCT bug (elrules, firelord?)

Postby el-dr » Tue Jul 27, 2010 1:14 am

I installed firelord's MCT release (with integrated fw upgrade for the protected bootloader, which works fine btw) and noticed a bug, but I'm not sure if it was present in the previous releases, too: the "Max" curve is missing from the Curve selection field in the pad settings section, so all choices after "Max" get shifted by one: selecting Custom1 will be interpreted as Max by MD, Custom2 will be Custom1 etc. could someone fix this, please?

Apparently this bug was also present in the previous release (installed it to check). I will look into it.

WinXp. The only thing I noticed is that it sometimes hangs with the "sending data to MD" message at the top right corner without actually sending anything and taking any user input. Sometimes it works for hours without this happening, sometimes it hang every 5 minutes. Again, I'm not sure whether this happens in this release only, because I didn't reinstall the old version to check.

'Max' curve bug fixed. Also added the JNLP 'installer': viewtopic.php?p=15733#p15733

Well, the thing is I did not actually make any changes to the old components, I just added a few of my own and I doubt that it could cause this bug (although we cannot rule it out either, strange things do happen...). Anyway, can you describe it in more detail? Does it require you to restart MCT in order to resume normal operation?

It's hard to be more precise as it seems to happen randomly and yes, it has to be restarted. I switched off my midi patch bay to eliminate the possibilities of accidental loopbacks (I'm not sure if that's a real danger with MCT) and also disabled midi through to make things as simple as possible. The last time I tried it worked for hours with no problems.
