Strange megadrum problem

Postby metalved » Fri Sep 03, 2010 1:03 pm

Hi everyone.
I bought full kit, assembeled it and it work fine for about a month now.
One day I lost tom1 bow signal and it is not the problem on the tom.
Then the megadrum restarted for no reason and i permanently have lost tom1 bow.
I've checked the connection and soldering and it is all fine. When the jack is connected to tom1 the megadrum restarts even when it is not connected. When i connect the tom1 jack only a half it is fine but only the rim. The jack on the megadrum is ok.
Do you have any clue on how to fix this?
I run my megadrum on xp with superior drummer.
All the toms and the cymbals are home made but they are ok.

Is it only on one input? Try to replace the MUXer to which Tom1 is connected to.

Yes, only tom1 input.
And sometimes megadrum stops sending midi to computer. After restart works again.

1. You may have a loose soldering/short/connection.
2. Electromagnetic interference from high power devices switching on/off, e.g. a fridge.

I have just update firmware and it works right fine.
No restarting.
I will take a look once again for tom1 jack and get back at you.
Thanx.
