Try the upgrade procedure on another PC. If doesn't help, the only option I see is to send your MegaDrum to me to debug. PM me to arrange this if you want.

I'm currently at work trying to upgrade the firmware... here's what's happening :

Now It doesn't detect any MIDI device!

Make sure MegaDrum is shown in the Windows devices list.

Just for the info....

I've tried on 2 different computers running Windows XP, both detected a new device and showed "USB audio device" in device manager/audio controllers, video & games, BUT, in control pannel/Sound and audio/ there was no way I could choose Megadrum as the MIDI input or output. The main sound card was the only option.

Then I tried on a third computer, running Vista, and just like Windows 7, it automatically detected the device and appeared as an option in MIDI I/O of the firmware utility.

Conclusion...
I still cant update the firmware. The process remains at 0, exactly like it did when I tried at home

kimouette, the board has arrived and I found the cause of the problem and fixed it.

PIC18F2550 was programmed with the old Synthex's USB firmware version and apparently it has a problem passing some Sysex messages from/to Atmega.
I have programmed PIC with the firmware version I developed and which is available at http://www.megadrum.info/content/downloads (direct link to the file: http://www.megadrum.info/sites/default/ ... _20MHz.zip).

After that the firmware upgrade process went flawlessly.
