Info about positional sensing and DIY snare pad

Hi guys

For a positional sensing in megadrum is necessarily a single piezo or two piezo for a good function?

Has anyone tried to test the positional sensing with DIY homemade pad ? I have only seen the dmitri's video with Roland pad but I did not understand how to set the settings...
