Yamaha hi-hat foot pedal configuration

Postby makr » Sun Jan 16, 2011 7:00 pm

Hi!

I have a 32 channel Mega Drum control box. I have recently built a drum set and now I have a couple of questions that I hope someone can help me with?

1. I have a Yamaha hi-hat RHH130 that I can’t get the foot pedal to work (no sound/reaction at all)? Are there any special configurations that I need to do?

2. How can I increase the hit signal on the pads? I can’t figure out witch parameter to adjust?

Best regards

Do you get the pedal VU-meter to reflect the position of the pedal (i.e. it moves up/down when you press/depress the pedal)?

Set HighLevel lower.

Hi again,
1. No, nothing hapends, i.e. it seams to be dead? But I have a green horizontal pile stucked between "Hihat pedal" and "closed" in the MCT window.
2. Great, I will try that! :)

How did you configure it then?

Don't forget to set HiLvlAuto to No.

Hello Dmitri,
I mailed you a while ago about my Yamaha RHH135 hi-hat pedal. The pad is now working but the pedal is still dead? I bought the module about two years ago and I was now thinking that I should try to update the firmware if possible. I looked at your homepage that a secure boot loader is needed to update the firmware and that I need to contact you (if I remember correctly?)
Can you recommend a pedal that works for sure if I don’t get this Yamaha pedal to work? I am finely done building this edrum set now and everything works great with exception for the hi-hat pedal.

Best regards
Magnus

I first suggest you to read through viewtopic.php?f=3&t=972 - you may probably need to reverse the pedal's polarity.
