It would be interesting to be able to chain multiple module with MIDI (a bit like the MIDI pass through).

Actually MegaDrum does have MIDI through, when MIDI output of one MegaDrum connected to MIDI input of a second MegaDrum. You will get MIDI output of both MegaDrums from the second MegaDrum. But when chained this way you won't be able to control the second MegaDrum with SysEx.

Either do it with two MegaDrums or wait for 64 inputs version of MegaDrum which, if ever (or never), will only be possible on Atmega644.

Would it be possible to add an ID to control one or the other ?

It will be possible. I did not do it before since I didn't want to break compatibility with MD Controller. But since it is broken now anyway I'll try do it (but don't hold your breathe, not right away).

I'll try and post a few pictures of what I'm trying to build, so I can get some of you guys to point me in the right direction.

ok, here's the little animation showing the different layers,
no idea how I'll do the wiring yet, or where to place the pcb's, so don't mind those.

sorry to keep bringing this thread up, but how would I go about linking 2 of Synthex boards?
Is it possible right now? how would I power the second board?

Also can a standard sustain pedal be used with the megadrum?

extra credit to the person who guesses which instrument this is based on.
