So, I need dual piezo input for the piezo switch pads, right?

extra question:
If I make the hihat single input, I can still use the hihat controller for closed and open sounds, right?

To any stereo input you can connect:

1. two individual single zone pads
2. one dual zone piezo/switch pad
3. one dual zone piezo/piezo pad

Hi synthnex,
Can you please prepare a diagram like this http://www.megadrum.info/img/megadruminput.png for you input version.

Expecially I want to lear how to wire hihat..
"3 - power source for HiHat controller"
"4 - HiHat controller input"
And can you also show the pin number on the board for of input connector.

Thanks in advance...

1) So, if I wanted to split one of the dual zone inputs as two separate single zones, how am I supposed to wire it? I'm asking specifically about the 32 input all-in-one kit. I have taken a look at this schematic, http://www.megadrum.info/img/megadruminput.pngbut I don't totally get how it's supposed to be wired to the TRS jack.
2) For the dual zone inputs, how is it supposed to be wired to the TRS jack?

The 32 INPUTS Connector :

1 - GND
2 - GND
3 - power source for HiHat controller
4 - HiHat controller input
5 - Kick
6 - NC
7 - HIHat Bow
8 - HiHat Edge
9 - Snare Head
10 - Snare Rim
11 - Ride Bow
12 - Ride Edge
13 - Crash Bow
14 - Crash Edge
15 - Tom1 Head
16 - Tom1 Rim
17 - Tom2 Head
18 - Tom2 Rim
19 - Tom3 Head
20 - Tom3 Rim
21 - GND
22 - GND
23 - Tom4 Head
24 - Tom4 Rim
25 - Aux1 Head/Bow
26 - Aux1 Rim/Edge
27 - Aux2 Head/Bow
28 - Aux2 Rim/Edge
29 - Aux3 Head/Bow
30 - Aux3 Rim/Edge
31 - Aux4 Head/Bow
32 - Aux4 Rim/Edge
33 - Aux5 Head/Bow
34 - Aux5 Rim/Edge
35 - Aux6 Head/Bow
36 - Aux6 Rim/Edge
37 - Aux7 Head/Bow
38 - Aux7 Rim/Edge
39 - GND
40 - GND

You can wire Head/Bow and Rim/Edge on the same jack or in two different jack ... as you wish ...

Odd = pin 1 of the jack
Pair = pin 2 of the jack

Okay, so I'm feeling pretty confident about putting my kit together. I just need a little more clarification on some parts though. The 10k pot trimmer... what does that look like? I went through the various pots on futurlec.com but I couldn't figure out which pot I needed to buy. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but do I need to adjust the pot? If so, how do I go about doing that?

The 10k pot is for adjust the LCD contrast. In most cases, this would be done only once.

That helps a lot!

Okay, another question. On Roland modules, if you split a dual-piezo (stereo) input into two mono inputs, only one can be triggered at a given time. Is that the same case for the MegaDrum?

example:
I build my set with a TRS jack but use a splitter Y cable to get 2 mono jacks. For the first jack, I wire it tip and sleeve for Tom1 and for the other jack, I wire it rim and sleeve for Tom2. If I struck both Tom1 and Tom2 at the same time, would I get both sounds, or only one of them?

They can be triggered at the same time.

shoot, even with the informatio, I think I ordered the wrong trimpot... does it have to be 67W? The one that I ordered was 1/2W lol! Will this work? http://www.futurlec.com/Potentiometers/CERM10K.shtml
