found bug: hihat pedal settings auto md wont save settings

hi,

if i set hihat pedal settings to auto, md dont save settings anymore.
if i try after this save to any slot, nothing happens. md dont write saved.

lost my whole setup.

Hi talrusher!

You mean that you enable the parameter "auto levels" on the Hihat pedal panel?

I am also facing alot of strange things when saving to the Megadrum unit. (On both my PC systems 32/64 bit with external USB power etc) If I save my complete setup using "send all" in the top of the menu...most often the pad settings will not hit the system at all. If I then step in the pad panel and press send on each drum...I am able to update the data. Sometimes I need to close and open the midi channel...to make MDM to really be able to send data to the Megadrum box. Sometimes when booting the MEgadrum it does not open my last saved settings - I have no idea where these settings is coming from...All pads etc is completly changed...

It is very annoying when you don't know if a setting actually hits the system...Real Time consuming! Especially if you want to play drums...

for now, after i setup all my pads again, everything working fine, even if i set auto lvl to yes...

i think you have to play a bit with auto lvl yes and the hi and low settings.

I will try to figure out a way to reproduce the problem...this was hard...(even if I have been in the IT business for 25 years)...something is really fishy...when loading and saving things to the MegaDrum. I have not given up...i will figure it out...but the rest of the family have started to hate the MegaDrum box...!)

One thing at a time. It was a question to talrusher and as far as I can see his problem, if it were there at all, had nothing to do with MDM. If you have a problem with MDM, please post the problem/bug description in a separate topic.

i will try to reproduce the problem tomorrow... now i have to sleep but i know that the problem has to do with hihat pedal auto lvl and the hi and low settings...

i tired to reproduce this bug, but now everythings working absolutely normal. dont know what it was...

i know that ive soldered the resisotor in my footpedal and then i set lvl to auto and for now md wont save my settings. i started the module thousand times new, reseted it and even reuped the new firmware on it. nothing helpen. i thought my module is broken, after a few tries more, i set footpedal auto lvl to no and for now on, md saved my settings.

i had max inputs to 22 maybe it has to do with this option in combination with auto lvl, but after trying to reproduce the bug, it wont apear...

ok, i think i found this:

if you load defaults by holding right key anf after you set alternate encoders to yes and then you change input to 32 and triy to save on slot 1 nothing happens. you have to set hihat pedal lvl auto to no. after this md save settings.

I just did it and everything was saved as expected.
