Thank you

Its heavily based on Dmitri's single sided 56i, as quoted in his post he has not tested it, but mine is working. I re- worked it purely to make the pcb easier to make without any tiny tracks and gaps. There were a few faults I found, mainly tracks too close to a pad or components too close to each other which have been amended on the these downloads. The socket pcb, needs a bit of work, but the jacks come in many shapes and sizes. I'm just finishing the drums and cymbals, and then configuration of the software. Great product.

The jack socket silk front is incorrect.

The first jack for hihat control require Power source - High/Low pedal impedance - Gnd in one jack socket.

The kick is mono. Hihat controller require a 3 pin switch to select high or low impedance , is connected on Tip of TRS jack, instead the power supply on Ring of TRS jack.

Can you upload the bottom layout of jack silk ?

Thanks

Thanks Maylord I cannot get my head around how the jacks are connected to the kit. my understanding

Toms and snare Two piezos one central one rim each connected to one stereo jack socket. One red cable Central, one red cable Rim + shared black cables (-) to ground, Piezos I believe have no polarity but red and black for consistancy to ground. Software looks after, hard and soft.

same for the cymbals normal and bell hits, not sure how you choke yet.

The kick is mono single piezo red and back

Now the high hat again twin piezo for inner and outer hits with a switch to open or close or optoelectric/varistor device to progressively open and close.

Yes the wiring of piezo are correct, i mean only the connection of the first two jack , the hihat controller works separately.

The first jack (Pdl Pwr Kick) is incorrect, the correction require PowerSource Low/High impedance and Gnd

The second jack is Mono Jack for the kick.
All other jack's are correct.
With your default wiring pcb these 2 jack's require a splitter cable but not are a good solution :)

Have you solved the problem with your piezo ? How it works this version of module?

Thanks for your job. :D

I have amended the board so that the impedance pedal is switch controlled for either high or low, hopefully i have understood the concept.

The earth issue is a slight problem in that i do not understand why pins 15 and 16 (ground) for the ring are connected to the power supply via the two capacitors c1 and c11. I have been taking a ground from the metal box i have nstalled the unit in.

If i connect any piezo to pins 15 or 16 which is supposedly the ring ground, the midi output is like a machine gun. I suspect there is a flaw somewhere in the design of the main board but i cannot spot it.

Edited by Dmitri. It is unpleasant to read TEXTS WHICH ARE ALL CAPITALS.
