I've read. I either see your bold statements or mentioning of "every setting" in various forms.

:D Please don`t tell me you found something wrong in ... this kit triggering?

It's just played with max dynamic level. This would work on my megadrum, too. It is a matter of the whole dynamic range.

I have wrote what settings I tried to change. Therefore you can not help me/us? No suggestions? I would be happy if someone could post his settings of the PD8.

Don't equal yourself with "us". Those, who come here for help, I do my best to help to.

With us I mean the people who have the same problem. I dont know why you feel offended, just because I said its the fault of megadrum? Don't be childish!

You haven't done yourself any favors with your opening statement. Many people come here with problems and most get solved.
I would suggest your Threshold and gain levels are a bit low.

koby drums - Triggera krigg/Bix - megadrum - Kontakt........... Samples from all and sundry.

If I increase the Threshold I won't get any quiet strokes and if I raise the gain the pad will be too sensitive(the max. level came to soon)

Hi there!

I have tested and played around with PD8 and these settings: I think these settings below works quite well!
The PD8 should according to the manual have piezo/switch for the head/rim. Let me get back with an update on the rim settings.

Firmware: 20120911

Head Values:
note = 38
curve = Log1
threshold = 15
retrigger = 1
levelMax = 990
minScan = 20
gain = 6
xtalkLevel = 4
xtalkGroup = 1
dynTime = 4
dynLevel = 36
compression = 0
shift = 0
Type= Dual

Best Regards

Anders

Rim settings - I am a bit more unsure here...correct me If you see any big misstakes.

But it seems to work o.k.

compression = 0
shift = 0
Threshold: 24
Gain: 0
Highlevel: 490
Retrigger: 3
Dynlevel: 0
Dyntime: 0
Minscan: 20
Type Switch

Thank you for testing! I tried these settings, but Im still not satisfied. It triggers low strokes very good(constantly), but on the mid to high dynamic range the constancy seems to disappear. You can try to play mid-level single strokes with one hand. You won't get the same midi velocity on every stroke. The settings I have tried, had these problems. The people on drummerforum.de got the same problems. So I think it's the problem of Megadrum itself.
I'm comparing to the trigger behaviour of the roland td15. By the way I can not change the value of dynLevel to 36. The limit is by 15.
