As on the internet there is no common agreement on how high the cone extends above the rim and how tight the head is tensioned exactely, I rent an original Roland PD 105 until Monday. Hardware-wise I should have one of the best solutions on the market right now.
I plugged the PD 105 into my megadrum, started Addictive Drums and the result: Same problem as with my self-made DIY Pad. Hot spot in the middle (though a little weaker than on my drum), no signal at the outer part of the mesh and every third or forth hit a wrong note. (Wrong notes increase the harder I hit the drum).
The wrong note must be set somewhere, must not it? Where is it set?
Conclusion: The fault can not be with the pad as this pad works fine on Roland TD modules. There must be something with megadrum that leads to all this horrible triggering.
Any thoughts, ideas?
1. All settings for both zones.
2. MIDI Log output when the problem manifests itself.
3. Firmware version.
4. If pads are too "hot", they must be "cooled" otherwise you will get all sorts of triggering problems.
