Do you have plans to make something like this?

No, it is too much of a work for single person doing it all in spare time. Besides, I think it is like inventing a bicycle, e.g. you already can connect MegaDrum to an iPad with GarageBand installed and get some descent quality low latency sound out of this combo. How low latency I don't know yet since I have not measured it yet.

Do you think that might be possible with an Android device in the future?
As I know Android gained a lot of performance since ICS and JB. And there are IO boards like http://ytai-mer.blogspot.de/2012/05/sec ... works.html and https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10748 .
And I still remember thete was an official Google-website with an extension board....but I can't find it anymore :(

Google reportedly improved latency in JB but I have not tested it. Also, it still doesn't support USB MIDI natively but I'm sure it'll change very soon.

2 questions,
1 how much for just the board without components soldered on it
2, do you have an updated schematic & component list for these new boards?

These boards are not for DIY, so it is NO for both questions.

Hi,

These boards are not for DIY, so it is NO for both questions.

Does that mean, you're going slowly to the more commercial side?
So there is no plan to release a schematic and maybe the pure PCB for the soldering junkies?

Why the conclusion? Atmega schematics are available and supported with continuous firmware updates. Don't see the difference to what it was before ARM was introduced.

Again, SMD is not for average DIYer. If you're more into electronics SMT DIY rather than drumming then you can find thousands of SMT projects on Internet.

Well, those PCB's look handsoldered(correct me if I'm wrong), so maybe it's even lesser work to just ship the unsoldered PCB's, for guys who have no problem with smd/smt soldering(I think smt soldering ist not much more difficult then normal soldering, if at all).
I know there are many smt projects out there in the web(I did myself a few SMD PCBs).
It's just the idea of DIY gets lost with nothing to do but finding a right case for the module(but thats just my opinion)...
And it's always nice to see how the electronic you build up is working(for the schematic part)
The code is annother section, because there is much brain work in it and it is easy copyable, I understand why you don't want to offer it( if I remember right there were even cases, where the code was copied for commercial projects)

I think the new ARM version will sooner or later replace the Atmega version, because of more (hardware) possibilities, and maybe also the speed(I don't know the current speed resources, because I don't know the code), and just the fact, that you have to develop for two different hardware versions.
But also here: correct me if I'm wrong with my thoughts.

Between I think soldering(also smt) and drumming is combineable ;).
