I'm new in electronic and I have some stupid questions!!!!
I started to build one 32 input MD based on ATMEGA32 and now I finished the boards
1- what is protected bootloader? :?: It's a software or hardware?
2- mdupdate, mdfupdate and mdfupdateGUI can be used just by usb port or by ISP cable too?
3- for atmega32, can I use megadrum644_56_20121208.bin file? if NO what can I do? and where is the solution topic?
now I have to program my MD and I need your help!
I studied all posts and it make me confused!!!!!!!
sorry for my bad english!

Did you adjust your settings after the update?
I didn`t.
I was satisfied even before 1210 update, and didn`t notice any crucial changes in triggering after it.
Don`t know if it could be any better ...

before update my snare:
retrigger: 1
dynlvl: 0
dyntime: 8
minscan 50

i got from time to time falsetrigger notes i could not hear. snare was nice playable, maybe near an acoustic snare. really nice.

after update:
retrigger: 1
dynlvl: 1
dyntime: 0
minscan: 50

sometimes, i mean from time to time, 1 from 10 shots i get a falsetrigger note. couldnt hear this note but.... wow, wow, wow... everything is coming through. every hit, i mean really all hits are coming through... i could not believe this, even now not... f*** damn incredible. there is no word for this, really. think the snare is playable like a real snare. no Problems.... (with the rim i had never Problems. rimshots are nice too...)

Rally thanks for this nice md

And where is your threshold?
I managed to get mine to 1! That happened after the previous update (november I guess) ...

Uhmm, that`s a pretty high number ...
Wondering how do you get every hit triggered ...
What kind of curve do you use?

OK, so I just tried lowering dyn values. As I said, I was very satisfied with my snare settings before, so I wasn`t interested in changing it. But after trying this ... it`s even better!
I didn`t watch it in MIDI logs, there may be some false notes, but I don`t hear them ...
I`ll do that later and fine-tune the settings. Should also try to set the toms in the similar way ...

BTW, are you sure you had to raise dynlvl from 0 to 1? Tried both?
