Ok, just tried your settings, and it doesnt work.

So here are the settings I used to get someting good.
Do you see something that shouldn't be this way ? Any weird value ?

My pad seems to be more hot than the one you got.
Raising Minscan, DynLevel and DynTime almost removed double triggering, but ...

I dont now why, sometime, after a "pause", I get again double triggering on the head, and false rim trigger. And after few hits, it goes back to "normal".
As well, I have snare rim aftertouch on/off X2 coming from I dont know where. You ?

One other minor thing, the midi bargraph shows blue for both head and Rim2 hits, but send proper note.

The explanation of DynLevel and DynTime is not clear enough for the way I understand things, and I would like to be aware about Megadrum Settings. More time used now, less time used after ! And for good results.

Dmitri, nice post regarding the XP120SD. Never thought about the gain/threshold trick. For reference I have added the config to my library.

My mistake, but it is not the XP120Sd I get, but TP120SD.
I have rubber pads that comes with DTxtreme IIs, and not silicone pads.

All that said I did succed to set all my kit to basically work. Now I have to affine settings, and when I get the perfects, I send it to you, ANGR77, for your database.

I still need big help to set the HiHat pedal.
I get 264 for closed to 298 for opened. When I swich AltIn, I get 800 closed and 904 opened.
But whatever I do, it is not working.

Do you have tips ??

I just read lot of things about RHH130 Controller on the forum.

I need to clarify the procedure I should use to set it :

- Change tip and ring wire ?
- AltIn Yes and High Impedance switch On ?
- I want to use CC Message. No problem ?

Thanks, Charly

PS, Sorry Dmitri, but I've just seen I didn't give the name !

As far as I know Yamaha pedals use reverse polarity compared to Roland pedals so you have to use a crossover cable. Did you?
Once you have a crossover cable:
1. Set the Impedance switch to High impedance.
2. Set AltIn to Yes.
3. Use viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2082 as a guidance

Of course MegaDrum supports CC Messages. If MegaDrum didn't support CC Messages I would have not written anything about them in http://www.megadrum.info/content/hihat-pedal-settings

It's just swapping tip and ring.

Ok, I have swapped Tip and Ring wires. Very easy. In the same time, I did appreciated your work, dmitri. Nice work.

So now, the HH pedal act as attended : 100 - closed, 1020 - opened

But, I have still something weird :
I hit the pad fully depressed, and I get open hat sound. But, I beggin to press, and I dont get sound anymore.
And when I fully press the pedal, I get chick sound. But when I hit the pad with pressed pedal, I get chick sound as well ?!?

The VU meter shows the pedal working perfectly, but I guess it doesn't send CC message correctly ?

I didn't get the time to watch it on MDM midi activity. I'll do tonight.
But if you have any ideas already !

Thanks,

Charly

If you want to share your settings through my library...i would be more than happy.

If you need to reverse the hihat values...you have a checkbox in megadrum manager called Reverse Levels in the hihat panel. Just to enable!

Could also be the mapping in your VST...which one are you using?
