If you have a latest MDM version then you also have to update MegaDrum firmware to the latest version.

In the topic where you downloaded the latest firmware version there is an explanation for file names in the archive:

All firmware files in the archive after version 20110410 have the following naming scheme:
megadrumppp_nn_yyyymmdd.bin
where
ppp - MCU type. STM32a - for STM32F103RBT6, STM32b - for STM32F103RCT6, 644 - for Atmega644, 1284 - for Atmega1284
nn - Maximum number of inputs for the firmware.
yyyymmdd - date(version) of the firmware.

You can load it into MegaDrum with MDM.

Thanks Dimitri,

On LCD screen, I'd saw STM32B, So I've use version STM32b file , firmware is update : 20130901 MCU : STM32F103RCT6.
All seem ok but, I've two bar on vu meter of LCD screen (besides of HH controler bar) , these one don't correspond to a sensor trig, because I can see on MDM that no one note is send.

How I can solve this problem?

--------------

ALLRIGHT DIMITRI!!!,

I ve solve it : it was just the config inside MD which were wrong, however, in MDM, I set : get all, and notes affectation seems correct?! I uses a drum soft, and I could see that wrong notes were sent...

So, I load in MD a conf file between MDM...

All is OK, no bar on vu meter :D

Dmitri,

Have you changed the hihat panel data structure? There is no way to read the hi-hat settings with the new MegaDRUM manager (20130901) and a MD with a older firmware like 20130612.

I am always doing a backup of the MD before updating the firmware. (But It seems like the hi-hat settings can't be read at all)

Best Regards

You should be able to load any settings into latest MDM saved with older version MDM. What file are you having problem with?

Dmitri,

Sorry for my a bit unclear post. I am of course available to read mdm settings from a old file with the current version of mdm.

But what I tried to say was to read stored hi-hat data directly from md (with the previous firmware and current mdm) which don't seems to not work anymore. Should it not work anymore and have you done so big changes in firmware/mdm?

Because of a nature of change in pedal settings, you cannot read pedal settings from older firmware with latest MDM.

Ok.

Just an idea - would it not be smart to post a link to the previous version of MDM?

If not - we should at least mention this in the firmware change log, because I am guessing most people of the forum with a old firmware on their MD:s and using the new MDM - will start wondering what is going on. I did...searching for the error for about 2 hours on several different systems.

Best Regards
