pin 2 is the pin in the middle of my switch, and goes to the tip of jack 1 pin 1 is one of the outer pins on the switch and is connected to pin 5 of the 40 way pin 3 is the opposite of the outer pins n my switch and is cnnected to pin 3 of the 40 way.
the only reason why i ask this is because my switch has 6 pins.
If soldering a pedal impedance input selection switch using pinout on the diagram is too confusing, just don't use it and use two input jacks and plug your pedal to one of these jacks.
its not difficult in any way, i just picked up the wrong one, and believe i can use it in the same way, i was just trying to clarify if that was definately the case.
