Is it possible to automatically assign a SysEx Chain ID for each link ?

What do you mean?

People who chain several Megadrum don't want to install LCD screen or keyboard.
So it is difficult to indicate the ID number on the Megadrum menu.

I will do it. I will probably use one of LCD pins for this.

No, this would be done automatically.
At startup, each megadrum sending a message to his father in the chain, so each megadrum can position itself in the chain and have a unique ID.
