Whilst I would agree with you that the site navigation could do with an overhaul and that documentation could be more explicit, your statement on PS boards being a 'waste of money' is poor.

What do you mean, any argument for that statement? Except higher impedance (better, cleaner signal) it serves no purpose in real playing moments with VST's.
Maybe in the future Dmitri improve accuracy and reliability and we get PS which work much better, but for now I think that it's our limit there!

Hi.

I think the PS works okey. It is not an exakt science...but pretty accurate. I was testing a TD-30 and the PS function was very similar to what I seen on my MD.

I did not know about the note off function regarding PS. I am guessing that lowering the Global note off value will impact the issue. I was talking to a developer at XLN...regarding the note off value...(should it be 200 or what) and he claimed that as long as it was a positive value he said it did not matter. So I am guessing a note off value could be set to 1.

The MD information is a bit fragmented after almost 10 years in the forum...and the firmware have been updated about 100 times...so the only way to handle the problem is to try continue to write down the knowledge in new posts! So what is your contribution? :-)

My logic tells me that biggest problem with positional sensing is exactly that big note off interval. If we can reduce it to the extremely possible lower value isn't it logical to get almost concurrently cultivated signal from megadrum which implies true positional sensing in fast rolls!? I dont know which prefix standing after number for note off value but if it is mili(s) than I'll never gonna have ps for rolls, buzz's, faster singles and so on. And it can't be set below 100 (there must be a good reason behind this fact).

Finally here we are, in latest firmware Dmitri make possible to reduce note off delay to the 20 ms and now PS work way much better, I just tested and it work really good, no delay as before, change is much faster and notes are pretty accurate even in fast rolls. Respect Dmitri and thank you, I hope that lowering note off delay wont cause some other problems.

Well I've just loaded 20141006 and note off still won't go below 100. What's the story?

Until I release a new MDM version, you have to do it via MegaDrum Menu.
